Choosing a senior living community can be challenging and perhaps a little overwhelming at times. In order to make the search a little easier, we have included some questions often heard from other seniors. You and/or your spouse must be age 62 or better and financially able to meet the terms of the Residency Agreement.

Yes with restrictions as to size, type and temperament. Please call The Rockwood for more information about our Pet Policy.

Yes, smoking is only allowed outside in the designated smoking area.

Your family and friends are always welcome to join you for a meal in the Thistle Tea Room. We do ask that you call a few hours ahead so the Chef can plan for your guests.

We have a move-in coordinator who can assist you with everything from deciding how your furniture will fit in your new living room to helping with the selection of a moving company.

The Rockwood has three levels of services….Standard Services, Concierge Services and Encore Services which means we can do everything from driving you to the doctor’s office to arranging for a personal shopper. The Rockwood Supportive Service Program will arrange for Home Health, Companion or Live-In Services as needed in your own apartment. You are free to select the Home Health, Companion or Live-In Services of your choice* as outlined in the Residency agreement. The Rockwood does have provider relationships and will recommend and assist in the coordination of services.

* Although the Rockwood Supportive Services Program has home health care providers with whom we have worked and can highly recommend, you are certainly welcome to choose the provider that you most prefer. We have excellent working relationships with many of the local home health providers and you always have the final say in who provides for your care.

At The Rockwood, we believe in giving residents Lifestyle Options in Every Thing they do including their Payment Plan.

We offer the two payment plans ...The Entrance Fee & Monthly Service Plan or the Straight Rental Plan (Rent & Monthly Services) . Your reasons for selecting one or the other include both personal and financial considerations. Both plans have benefits and let you make the right choice for your lifestyle.
